Compliance

In England, some Healthcare Providers are regulated by the Care Quality Commission. However, SaveTheMind currently operate as exempt from registration with the Care Quality Comission.

This is because we meet the following exemption criteria set by the Care Quality Comission:

This applies to the provision of treatment in a surgery or consulting room by a medical practitioner* who is (or a group of medical practitioners who are):

  • a service provider already registered for the regulated activity of Treatment of disease, disorder or injury, or
  • employed by such a service provider and either
  • on the medical performers list for a designated body, or
  • employed by a service provider that is a designated body.

SaveTheMind do not carry out any procedures from Schedule 2, Paragraph 4 which would fall outside of CQC exemption.

The legal entity responsible for providing the care or treatment must not be a Limited Company. Accordingly, each individual clinician providing care through the SaveTheMind group retains full professional and clinical responsibility for the care they personally deliver.

*Medical Practitioner refers to a Doctor registered with the General Medical Council
